THE FARM DOG STORY
More Than Pet People
Welcome to The Farm Dog Inn Bed and Barkfast! We are the Nelsons. Our family of five includes myself, Britt, my hardworking husband, Kyle, and our three sons! I am a farmer's wife, mother, animal lover and business owner! Our journey began with Nelson Cattle Farm, where we raise beef cattle and cash crop. Then, we ventured into the world of raising Australian Shepherds.
My dream was to work from home and raise my sons with an outstanding compassion for all of God's Creatures. When I had a "wild idea" to start a Bed and Barkfast for pets my husband shockingly didn't shoot me down and GOD PROVIDED! We opened Stock Dog Suites in 2019 and rebranded in 2023 to The Farm Dog Inn Bed and Barkfast.
I love to use my business as my ministry! Community outreach is a big part of our calling! You can shop our selection of local products in our retail area on the farm! We host events and fundraisers to directly benefit First Light Child Advocacy Center of Grant County in Memory of my father, Lt. Matthew Swain. We also work closely with our local animal rescue, Underdog Salvation.
I have high standards for my pets and want to provide an incredible experience for animals and owners. Does your pet require medical care? No problem! I worked as a veterinary assistant for several years prior to opening our business, so rest assured your pets are in great hands! Our groomer, Jayme offers exceptional spa services that are also available during boarding. Select your pet a homemade treat from our bakery case! Daycare is also available upon request.
The Farm Dog Inn resides out our back door, so your pets are always monitored. We are conveniently located right off Interstate 69, Exit 255.

BOARDING FOR DOGS, CATS AND POCKET PETS.
The Best for Your Pet
Suite Dog Boarding: 5'x8' Room with access to private outdoor run $37/night
Regular Dog Boarding: 5'x6' Kennel $32/NIGHT
Additional "same household" dogs can room together overnight for an added $20.00 per dog, per night. Dogs that are required to eat separately MUST room separately as well.
Individual Leash Walks: $10/Dog/Day
Regular Cat Boarding: Cat Kennel and litter box. $25/NIGHT
CALL TO INQUIRE ABOUT POCKET PET STAYS
ALL PETS ARE GIVEN ACCESS TO AN OUTDOOR GRAVEL PLAY AREA AND ARTIFICIAL TURF PLAY AREA SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. OUR KENNEL IS TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED TO 72° YEAR AROUND.
A soothing noise machine and aromatherapy is used to comfort your pets and reduce anxiety during their stay! Television or Music streams 24/7. Pets are given "lobby time" to relax on our couch and socialize with staff once daily depending on demeanor.
To be sure your pet is as comfortable as possible, we encourage you to bring:
- favorite toys, blankets, treats, etc.
- CURRENT dog food, BAGGED per meal for the duration of the stay at The Farm Dog Inn. Blankets and bowls are provided.
DAMAGE POLICY
A fee will be implemented for any damage while boarding.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you miss or cancel (less than a 24 hour notice) your appointment or reservation, you will be sent a payment link for a fee of $25. This will need to be paid before any other reservation or appointment is scheduled.
The Farm Dog Inn will bill you for the duration of your pet(s) scheduled reservation, regardless of changes to drop-off or pick-up dates, or any adjustments to the scheduled reservation, unless given at least a 24-hour notice. This 24 hour notice is made void during the following holidays/breaks:
Spring Break
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Fall Break
Thanksgiving Break
Christmas/ New Years Break
During the above holidays/ breaks customers will be billed for the entirety of their scheduled stay.

We are a pre-pay facility. Full payment is expected at the time of drop-off. Cash, check or card. Venmo is NOT accepted. A 3% credit card fee is applied.
VITAL INFORMATION We require all boarders to have the following vaccinations ATLEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR:
-DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus)
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
- Rabies
*Owners, you must submit a hard copy of vaccinations records from your vet, PRIOR TO BOARDING, or a copy can be emailed to thefarmdoginn@gmail.com
BY CLICKING BELOW ON "DOGGIE DASHBOARD" YOU WILL BE PROMPTED TO FILL OUT A NEW CLIENT REGISTRATION IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME AT THE FARM DOG INN! THEN YOU MAY SUBMIT AN APPOINTMENT REQUEST.

GROOMING SERVICES
Welcome To The Grooming Barn
Please email Brittany to schedule bath services. We are no longer accepting clients that require a full haircut/shave. Bath, brush, blowout, nail trim and ear cleaning services only. Pets that require small trims like paw pads and potty area are accepted!
Schedule a bath while boarding and receive $10 off.
Prices are estimates and subject to change based on coat type, condition, dog behavior and size.
